It is the fourth tallest hotel in the world. Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The shape of the structure is designed to mimic the sail of a ship. Sometimes incorrectly referred to as "the world's only seven-Star hotel", its star rating has been often debated.

Each room is stunning, opulent, with incredible views of the city and the water. Bedrooms become boudoir, and marbled bathrooms are an invitation to soak in all day. And your bathroom products come from Hermes. The suites are architecture on two floors, joined by a white marble staircase. More than a hotel, the Burj Al Arab is a king’s palace.

· As soon as you are received and escorted into the lobby, you are served cold wet face towels, some coffee, and a plate of the most delicious dates.
· You are assigned a personal butler, who gives you an half hour’s tour of your suite upon your check-in. Really Impressive...

· All the suites are huge, and I recommend a panoramic suite, because of the excellent views you get of the Arabian Sea.
· The Burj Al Arab has managed to give the suites a very neutral scent. No stench, cigarette smells or overpowering fragrances.
· Stickers on the windows that stretch from the floor to the ceiling, let you know that any window cleaners that might pass can not see into the room. However, no one I know has gone out to check this claim, especially when the lights are on…
